I don't normally concern myself too much with investors on the short side. But this is an interesting situation.

I suspect investors on the short are now close too overstaying there welcome. At the current market value it is probably close to being in the "hiding to nothing" territory for them, and are likely one good announcement away from getting torpedoed. Then your short problem turns into a tailwind.

In any event, I would not be betting against the likes of Tripp or Davey. They are second to none when it comes to deal makers in this industry. Given Betmakers is trailblazing and still in its infancy, I would not be surprised at what deals they could deliver.
