Gross shorts had really dropped off of late. Wednesday's gross shorts had been 643K when it went up 20% but the rest of the week from memory was ~200K or less.

Obviously won't know the net change in shorts until later this week (ie it will only be tomorrow arvo that we'll see if they were covering last Wednesday).

In the meantime, I still think there's good buying under 30c. I accidentally sold some on Friday at 18c in an account that I'd forgotten I'd put a limit order down nearly a month ago. Wouldn't mind if they pushed it back to hit my order at 17c. I don't think it will stay down at these levels for long. Come the new year, I'm guessing we'll be seeing some more positive presentations come out as earnings swing positive and insto buying will resume who have the firepower to outplay whoever has been controlling the price.
