Perhaps they've reached near their limit?
They've potentially added a further 5m net shorts over the last week (Assuming no covering at all which is probably unrealistic):
ASX Gross shorts since the 8th:
9/7: 1,925,670
12/7: 2,017,490
13/7: 1,269,690
There's probably only a handful of places you can borrow 30m+ shares...
