This works in percentage, not in absolute value.
Example:
50% of 100 is 50
50% of 50 is 25
50% of 25 is 12.5
50% of 12.5 is 6.25 etc...
If you keep this up you will come close to 0 but never entirely reach it
It is called an asymptote
