I also like the fact that we now have a presence with the Hong Kong Jockey Club- this is more long term but their industry is huge! The club, which has a government-granted monopoly in providing pari-mutuel betting on horse racing in the region, saw a 12.1% year-on-year increase in turnover through a record 835 races and 88 meetings, which was one more than the number of meetings in 2019/20.
Its good to have a foot in the door- imagine if fixed odds can get a piece of this market (this will be years away IMO).
@reg9400 do you know to what extent Betmakers relationship is with HKJC? I am assuming we are one of many suppliers unlike France where Parimutuel Urbain (PMU) is the sole supplier?
