So the form 604 on March 7 (but dated 2 march) had Macquarie holding 76.5m

on 2 march the total shorts were 107.3m

so that leaves 30.8m if you assume all macquaries are shorted.

total shorts on Monday this week 95.9m, again If you assume the Mac position is the same since we haven't got an updated form 604. Then remaining shorts (Ex Mac) would be aound 19.4m

not sure what will happen with the mac / Tw arrangement but if your right then it could be that they are indeed holding all the shorts with 34m volume today possible the other 19 odd million went at closing auction.

if they are paying TW cash for them based on who knows what then we may be left with just relying on company fundamentals !

none the less if 20m shorts gone is still positive for the go forward
