Newscorp owns the Australian. So they smash the share price for 5 days via shorts and then give the journalist the tip for release after market close. Just speculation of course but that's what I would do. If pointsbet doesn't sell then SP snaps back anyway when shorts are covered? Or newscorp shorts more to pressure a sale. Of course with any observations .... maybe.
