Lifting the pension age is a terrible move & a terrible outcome for all Australians from the bottom right to the top. The government will walk of the cliff if they push it forward hence I see it as unlikely to happen.

Those with physically demanding jobs obviously get hit with a lead weight many of those are not in a position to work years before they hit existing pensions ages. Many other jobs mental capacity is getting hit before existing pension age as it is. But the big kicker that will add weight to any increase is lifting preservation age on super it's ridiculous forcing those that have more adequate funds to live out the remainder of their lives then have it blocked for even longer. The thing is by the time the proposed increase in pension age comes in people will have far greater superannuation balances than those do today with the introduction of CS & far fewer people relying on a government pension.

People want to enjoy their twilight years not drop dead at the desk or fixing a blocked drain.
