    Do they become God as well by accepting and abiding the word of God and Jesus did?


    What you posted is
    Jesus totally accepted and abided in the word of God, became part of him.
    Hence they are exactly on par with each other.
    "That they become one even as we are one", one in the word of God.


    To answer your question the first two lines covered Jesus abiding in the word of God and becoming part of God and so are par with each other. Surely being on par with God is as good as being God.
    The third line covers people also being one - I read this as people (we) being united (one) with each other as God and Jesus are united (one) with each other and not being God else it would have also said that people (we) were on par with God.
