Its the age old argument of investing vs trading. AJ's world view is more for the day to day trades. Your worldview is the longer term investing approach. I side with your world view. I could tell AJ that I threw down $200k at 5c on this stock and still hold. And he could tell me all the things I have done wrong (in hindsight of course) from a trader's point of view and he would be right - for now. But its not the "now" we investors have our eyes on is it?
