Robert Friedland, founder and executive co-chairman of Ivanhoe Mines says that due to the 'electrification of transport' the world will need to use during the coming 18-20 years the same amount of copper that has been used in the last 120 years, if GDP growth of 3% a year is to be maintained.
"As you rebuild the world you need more copper," Friedland said.
