BHP have recently bought out anglo potash in canada
last time i looked at rio tinto have invested $900 in a potash plant in argentina.
i don't know all the numbers but if you crunched them you might come up with some glaring disparities but if the asset was really that valuable why haven't we already seen takeover activity?....probably something to do with the credit crunch....mind you BG just paid an 80% premium this week for QGC...forward lithium demand is speculative to a certain extent. markets are very efficient...its gone a bit haywire this year but its generally pretty Darwinian....I doubt an asset that is really worth, for example $360 million, is going to sell for $36 million but if they get a better offer they can't knoock it back. remember....the market is efficient. i switched to ORE today as I have lost a piddle but if I was holding a packet I'd be crunching numbers...particularly historic corporate activity in the K and Li plays
