As I mentioned before GMD needs DCN more than the other way around. It is normal that they will try extension first and if DCN share holders do not capitulate, then they have no choice but to raise the bid.
Market does not like uncertainty and if this takeover process is not done and dusted soon, GMD share price will be adversely impacted. GMD shareholders wouldn't too happy and the management should know that and therefore after this extension, the next most likely outcome is to raise the bid.
