Not going to speculate on the numbers but the 20 - 30 K for the tool was based on the core level recording unit only, and they would revisit the price once the telemetry system is proven.

In the EMG he also said that this is where the bigger value lay as this would reduce having to repeat coring jobs because of failure etc.

From what i can gather the telemetry development is on track and in my opinion we should see commercial results from this toward the end of the year (maybe even earlier if we are lucky!)

With the price of oil going up and up, meaning that oil fields that were previously not viable will perhaps come on line, you would imagine that the coring activity globally will be on the increase. Also I read recently that Iraq are in discussion with global oil companies such as Shell, Chevron, Exxon to open up thier oil fields. Its all good.
