Something I raised way back was the ubiquitous nature of PMM in the efficient use of energy/energy saving, now some hard projections from the Chinese:

"High-efficiency and energy-saving motors are expected to surpass the electric vehicles and wind power industries to become the largest consumer of rare earth magnetic materials."

And not by a small margin:

"It is expected that the market share of high-efficiency and energy-saving motors will increase to 25% in 2025. The demand for rare earth magnetic materials will reach 62,000 tons"

"In 2025 , the sales of new energy vehicles will reach about 5 million, and the annual demand for rare earth permanent magnet materials will reach 25,000 tons."

2.5x demand NdFeB > PMM into commercial motors re BEV.

Doubt anyone is questioning the need to transition away from fossil fuels but are "BEV's" the most efficient use of a CM like NdPr when you consider:

"By 2023 , the annual output of high-efficiency and energy-saving motors will reach  170  million kilowatts, and the proportion of high-efficiency and energy-saving motors in service across the country will reach more than 20% , achieving the goal of saving 49 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually."

That's 49Bn KH net energy saving, in just 2 years, in just one country.

Regardless of the constant BS here, "BEV's or bust", "biggest hole", etc, this article from the Chinese makes it abundantly clear there is a very broad based, rapidly expanding demand that will underpin NdPr>NdFeB for this decade & beyond, absolutely no need to pump narcissistic garbage.
