Yeah traffic sucks, I've been here for around 10 yrs and the last few years the Christmas rush has hit me like a tonne of bricks, traffic sucks and the shops and beaches get over run big time, compared with what Im used to. It was an unknown slice of paradise in the late 90's but now it's just plain frustrating for a permanent. It's time to move up the line and I just can't believe how much of the Mornington peninsula I've never seen! I must say that in the off season it is hard to beat but the off season gets shorter every year. Bring on Dromaina or Safety Beach or Mt Martha or Mt Eliza! Have you looked inland at all? Say Mooroduc or Baxter area? I have no idea what it's like round there but would asume that the new fwy would give it a boost.
