It has been known for years that artificial aweetners can cause an adverse reaction in some people, but so can many natural foods as well as other additives. Wheat, milk, peanuts, sorbital etc etc. Each person may have a reaction to differant food and when you consider that in the last 50 years over 3500 chemicals have been licensed to be added to food alone, it's no wonder that many people havee digestive difficulties.
I can't eat wheat, dairy and most food additives and have been caled a crank many times, but the simple fact is that these things make me ill. If you have a condition that the doctor's can't diagnose then consult a naturopath and go on an exclusion diet, it won't hurt you and there are no side effects.
