I'm holding for the long term too at avg of 52 and change. True you may have an occasional retrace but at the end of the day I take a view that Aus, China and the rest of the world are on the recovery journey, the world is not going to end and we are not going to go into depression. The markets had been priced at these doomsday scenarios. My opinion (and it is only an opinion) is that we are still in the resources boom which will last another couple of decades as Asia develops. RIO will be northwards of $100 in the not too distant future. I have trade RIO a couple of times earlier but I don't want to trade now on an expectation that that I can get in cheaper. For me anyway I have put away my traders hat leveraged up (thankfully 3 weeks ago so caught the ride up) and am now in the investment camp.
