To all of us long term holders the last couple of weeks have been a vindication of the the faith which we have held. And that is nothing to say of the relief which goes with it.Boxes are being progressively ticked, the future looks very promising, and those who bought in gloom will once again prove this old piece of wisdom to be correct. One can see the nucleus of the next generation of wealth being created right now. The wheel of history never stops turning, with varying outcomes-sometimes disappointing as well, which brings me to the main point of this post.
With the SP being way out of kilter with the fundamentals I have for long now been more than concerned with a possible danger lurking in the shadows. And that is of course a takeover bid-this thing must look pretty cheap and juicy to anyone who is in predator mode.In the event of a takeover the best case scenario would be that we remain as shareholders in the raider company and that the project would proceed as is planned now.But I don't want to be made to take that risk.We have a very competent management team who can take this project thru' to fruition-not much risk there I would think.
Other possible outcomes in the event of...1) Management is incompetent(ther are many of those, and 2)in the hands of a big company all sorts of things can go amiss. The project could be shelved, made a meal of,or become a football in corporate culture grandstanding.
71c4 you made this point so well-you called them "corporate
zombies"-it did help to crytalise my thoughts. And thirdly-we could be paid out (20-30 cents)and sent packing-"so long and thanks for all the fish." Sure we would make a profit but after all this time I don't want it to end like this.I want to be there at least until the first pour, still holding all my stock, and with possible extra future success in the offing.
Needless to say we all want a further leg up in the SP.
Profit considerations aside it does help to sheild us from hostile takeovers. That is very much in the forefront of my thoughts.
So Gentlemen-should the time come when you will be forced to decide which way to jump with your stock-I trust your decision will be a wise one.
