    There's no doubt NZR has been in a lot of financial pain lately, and it will be highly tempted by the short-term dollar. But NZR knows that it faces long term headwinds related to public participation/interest. NZR also knows (I would think) which distribution partner is best suited to furthering the long term future of the game. Simply passing rights to the highest bidder may actually accelerate the process of customer disengagement. NZR knows this - if they have half a brain (which I'm sure they do).
