btw on the link to that article regarding the SL deal, there was a 15min clip of an interview with NZR mgmt (half way down) & around the 12 min mark, the lady comments that the revenue growth is offshore - she explicitly stated that kiwis already pay quite a lot to support their national team.
i'm sure it will still mean tough negotiations when the rights come up for renewal, but is the more immediate threat to RugbyPass rather than local broadcasting rights? If so it does that have the potential to reduce the upside case for skt given the big audience & economics of rugbypass (you gave an indication of rugbypass potential below which seem quite favourable)?
Also, I'm a recent investor so I don't have the history, but why are none of these rights exclusive given the amounts paid...whats the point of paying est80m pa without exclusive rights?
