I think ultimately if your buying shares based on hotcopper posts it's on you. If you think an anonymous opinion on the internet is worth your cold hard cash then ... good for you.
I personally share all information to be transparent and also hope to encourage confersation, but I'm also agreeing with you , people manipulate HC posters all the time, and it wouldn't surprise me if Hartleys read the threads
