    Not every company that puts in a counter offer really wants to buy but they do it to make the other party pay up. It in turn revalue any company in that business area . Worst case if Nea bought SFI then it would be even longer before a competitor could challenge and locks away captures to date. Locking up any further patents and acessing any further camera development or stopping another company getting a head start can be a very viable company strategy. Microsoft did it for decades to the point where it just infringed and then bogged others in legal hell and won many by default of deep pockets. .
