I will also note Australia's new treasurers constant media appearances on the fiscal irresponsibility of the last government and how we need to tighten up. The debt is lower than forecast, by $175b with projections to be 34% to 37% of GDP by 2032. 10% lower in 10 years. And the labour government wants to tax us more!
Just take what the new labour government is saying with a grain of salt, that is all. In relation to our trading partners we are in good shape. But note this US debt repayments per year are basically Australia's total debt.
With America a strong USD and they have foreign debt holders, mmmmmm, debts easier to manage. DYOR
