    im fully aware the profile below may fit many service providers out there, but its just this is the sort of indepth requirements that NMS have seemingly failed to focus on in the past, and maybe now stress it as part of the job.
    maybe the resident industry participants can shed any light. how many major rov companies exist in the north sea ?

    Maris Subsea requires an ROV Project Manager with extensive ROV Construction Support Project experience for a Client contract, onshore, Aberdeen.

    All applicants MUST hold UK or EU Passport with minimum 6 months remaining validity and the Right to Work unchallenged in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not currently available for this position.

    Scope of work will be Project management activities on Construction Support Business Line Projects within a major ROV operations company. Primary responsibility will be for the management of offshore operations after contract award. The Project Manager will hold ultimate responsibility for Project execution including, where required, delivery of final results.

    Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):-


    Ensuring safe, efficient and profitable execution of Construction Projects, as allocated by the Construction Support Manager;
    Ensure adherence to IMS for all relevant processes, including the Company Project Management Handbook, as applicable.
    Demonstrate awareness, understanding and control of all commercial and technical matters relating to the content of the Project or contract.
    Maintain proper budgetary control on all Project costs including preparation / review and approval of invoices; recovering costs from third parties where appropriate; handling any client invoicing disputes effectively;
    Ensure variations to contact are recognised, tracked and charged at appropriate contract or commercial rates.
    Ensure invoicing payment by client is monitored and followed up.
    Efficient planning of fieldwork including liaison with clients to ensure all parties are fully informed of mobilisation/planning arrangements.
    Suitability analysis and selection of equipment and consumables. Management of any modifications or changes that may be necessary with other Departments;
    Ensuring the necessary Interdepartmental pre and post-Project meetings take place, if required;
    Select the Project Team in co-operation with Department Manager and Operations Department;
    Provide a written Project briefing to all relevant departments, and the Project Team; attend mobilisation for offshore worksite briefing if appropriate;
    Implement the Companys QA and HSE Management Systems throughout all phases of the Project.
    Follow and suggest improvements in Health and Safety related matters on Projects, and generally within the business line.
    Ensure Project Reporting is properly managed, and delivered, in accordance with the client specification, and document control parameters. Any variations must be documented and additional cost recovered as necessary.
    Provide input to tenders in association with the Commercial Department.
    Co-ordinate with Commercial Department to ensure a smooth handover of the Project from tendering to operational phase.
    Ensure regular communication with the client throughout the work; document any changes to specification / workscope or claims. Follow up verbal discussions with written confirmation.
    Liaise with other Project managers and department managers on co-ordination with other Projects, to ensure optimal utilisation of resources.
    Identify personal training needs and bring them to the attention of the Department Manager.
    Continually seek to improve Project performance thus assisting in maintaining a competitive edge for further development.
    Follow appropriate signing authority levels.

    Scope of work will be project management activities on Drill Support Business Line Projects within a major ROV operations company. Primary responsibility will be for the management of offshore operations after contract award. Within some Projects the Project Manager may be required to assist in the contract tendering and negotiation phase and have a continued responsibility through the onshore reporting phase of (for example) a platform inspection Project. Additional involvement will be required during intervention tooling works with Clients, internal Support Services and 3rd Party Service Suppliers of such equipment. The Project Manager will hold ultimate responsibility for Project execution including, where required, delivery of final results.

    Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):-

    Pre-plan and co-ordinate mobilisation and demobilisation with assistance from operations department, other business lines and Department Managers;

    Our Client seeks to fill this position ASAP and duration is TBC but is expected to be on a long term basis. This position is currently offered on a Contract basis so specific working hours or duration may change at any time depending on Client needs. All applicants must remain available for the entire duration of the contract once assigned.

    Maris Subsea requests that all applicants supply relevant identification e.g. Passport with minimum 6 month remaining validity OR relevant UK Visa/Work Permit. Although this position is advertised as onshore, there may be some offshore requirements during mobilisation or demobilisation, therefore applicants must be prepared to present a current medical and OPITO survival if requested.
