That is the whole point here that many of us know but some either choose to ignore or are just plain dumb to see. Even if Quantum stops paying any more money, this project is sitting on 3.3mil oz of gold resource and 372580 oz off-take agreement ( so far) worth AUD $1bil.
If Quantum does not go ahead to lock into more gold purchase contracts, this stock is still worth a lot more than its current MC of $42mil with $34mil cash on hand and possibly another $15mil (USD $9.8mil) coming. Besra can always bring in more off-take customers and pre-payment deals. Keep in mind other projects are valued at $300mil-$500mil with similar resource but no off-takes whatsoever or even pilot plant or EIA approval.
They keep talking about risk but they don't understand the difference between risk at MC of $42mil MC and risk at MC of $420mil.
Anyway, I just don't give a shiit about them. They do whatever they want. Let them work it out for themselves.
In the meantime, Goldman Sach upgraded its gold price forcast to USD $2700 for 2024 over the weekend and today Citi Group upgraded its gold price forcast to USD $3000 for 2024.
