I do not take things at face value.

why has all this come up now? Xstrata stated that they would take a decision on Nkwe in December and showed their commitment to SA investment with the Ferrochrome expansion.

I see anglo/ARM are now using this situation to shut Xstrata out and develop the Modikwe properties themselves. I am also thinking that it is Anglo/ARM who are supporting the local community (faction?) at Tubatse.

I therefore see the final target from creating all this uncertainty being that Genorah/NKP are asked to do a deal with Anglo/ARM. Xstrata will now need to take an urgent decision as to the way forward on its SA PGM plans.

Nothing much we can do now but see how things develop over the next days. At least we should now all know with certainty that these properties are valuable otherwise nobody would be using expensive legal means to create all this uncertainty.
