It's now crystal clear that the release of the BFS was held back pending the Constitutional Court decision.
I have no doubt that the company directors were well meaning when they indicated at the UWA Meet & Greet held in Perth on the 3 September that the BFS release was scheduled for late September/early October.
The Constitutional Court hearing commenced a few days later, on 7 September, and it was probably reasoned at the time that the application to appeal would be quickly dismissed and that would have enabled the company to meet the time schedule that it had imposed on itself.
Unfortunately, this didn't occur and the case proceeded to judgment as we all know.
It's fortunate that the company didn't act in haste because if the BFS had been released to the market, given the present set of circumstances, its position to negotiate a JV with any of the major players would have been seriously compromised.
I think it's about time that we gave credit where credit is due.
As far as I'm concerned, the company has played the hand its been dealt very well so far and I've got confidence in the ability of our directors to continue to act in our best interests despite all the doom and gloom being posted here.
