It just goes to show that BG's acquisition of QGC was cheap.
What has happened to ESG's and AOE's price is the oldest trick in the book - beat down the share price and hence people's hopes, and then make a lowball offer. And then try to convince people that it is best they can expect.
The developing economies are desperate for Australia's coal-seam gas. ESG is incredibly well placed, and DC has been talking to these LNG buyers during the last 3 weeks.
(and ESG holders, if friends of yours who hold AOE are looking for a new place to roll over their profits, make them feel welcome at ESG. No previous experience necessary. :) )
