I thought the four corners episode showed suppliers had to jack their prices up so that the promotional price didnt eat into their margins when the supermarkets ask them to have a promotion. I eat a lot of simply nuts peanut butter and notice there are a number of other brands with decent amount of shelf space.
As for their yoghurt brands, I do notice that yoplait, dairy farmers and farmers union get an okay amount ot shelf space. However they are on sale nearly every other week. While talking about yoghurt and shelf placemenf, I hope Bega bring bank Farmers Union drinkable yoghurt. That was an incredible product but just placed stupidly near the kefir. I can understand the logic by coles/woolies but if that thing were near flavoured milk and if Bega made a high protein variety it would have done so much better.
I still believe in Bega and Im eager to find how well their newer products have been recieved.
