Interesting talking to a mate of mine from Bega who transports a lot of the cheese around the state and mostly to Victoria just how much double handling they do. For example transporting all the offcuts to Vic to be cut up and then shipped back to Bega for packaging/processing. The other day he was transporting Whey powder to Sheperton (from memory) for storage only to continue onto Melbourne to pick up more whey powder to drop back at Bega.... very surprised with he inefficiencies in double handling and transport
