    Caveat Emptor.

I don't understand why people that lose money buying companies whinge and then start to murmur about class actions. The threshold is incredibly high for it to be successful, and the only ones that win are the lawyers. The company wastes time, focus and money defending the class action. Which as a shareholder, ultimately comes out of your pocket anyway. Unless there is instances of embezzlement or outright fraud its almost a non-starter in my experience.

Putting out some optimistic forecasts that aren't met isn't grounds for a class action and it will fail. Especially with the company putting out disclaimers 3 pages long on most announcements concerning this exact fact.

If you don't think the company can hit those targets, think its going to fail why buy it? You bought it because you believed the hype and are now angry the hype hasn't materialised. I've got some paper losses on this company as well, albeit not that large and my position size here reflects my concerns when those aspirations were put out. I'm pleased I didn't buy in north of $2.

Ruminating on a saviour in the form of a class action to 'bail you out' wont help and you'll just hitch your wagon to the next instance of hope that comes along. If you're investing you need a clear idea of what you perceive as value and be willing to ride out the volatility (especially inherent in miners) or cut your losses when the facts change.

I don't know where you bought in, but even assume the worst at $2, there was ample opportunity to get out at nearly (literally, from the first time it hit $2 it has hit nearly every cent) every price point from there all the way to the current share price.

Given you're here whinging about a class action, I'm presuming you didn't. Because you hoped. You either see amazing value here at 50% down relative to what you saw at $2, or you should have got out somewhere along that journey when the facts changed.

FWIW I like BGL here, its not my largest holding but its about as pessimistic as you can get right now (your post is further evidence of this) and they have reset, outlined what I think are soft targets going forward, all the infrastructure is in place, the grade is very high relative to most in the sector and are very likely to be bought out at a premium to todays price.

Re-evaluate the company as it is today, decide if its good value and if you're willing to take the risk. If you are, keep holding or accumulate more. If not, I'd pack up and move on to something you consider more promising.

Management have royally cucked this company to be sure, but being greedy or having aggressive targets, or dicking around with green energy projects isn't grounds for any kind of class action to be successful. There are far more egregious companies that have done far worse without penalty.
