Nick Grealy tweeted this quote from a BGS geologist today. Helps to remind me why I'm invested in this company:
"The Bowalnd shale formation stretching under northern England is believed to contain anywhere from 822 trillion to 2,221 trillion cubic feet of gas, according to the British Geological Survey. That's huge compared to the 84 trillion cubic feet of gas recouped from under the North Sea to date. "Even if we tap a tiny percentage, it would be huge," said Edward Hough, a BGS geologist who specializes in shale gas. "Without doubt, the UK has the greatest potential for a commercially viable shale gas industry of anywhere in Europe."
