Oz should have a competitive advantage with abundant and cheap gas to supply manufacturing and base load power stations. Suppling cheap domestic gas while allowing private companies to maximise profit margins satisfying international demand very obviously must be a role for government. Our useless government fails on every level - this requirement is barely discussed by government ministers AND they're allowing the private overseas companies to take their profits out of the country without paying any tax. We are led by imbeciles! This is why our government leaders are so despised - the thinking man in the street sees them wasting time bickering over small change taxing back-packers when they should be dealing with the real issues.
