The downward cycle is far different than any other cycle and will have major consequences for employment in WA.
This boom had brought more eastern states companies than ever before. I dont have any problems with that, but now the consequences are seen.
Sacking WA staff bringing in eastern states staff.
While there is no employment for these companies in there own states, they prefer to keep there own eastern states staff and sack the WA.
The few projects still on for next year, eg BHP RPG5 does BHP have any commitment to the WA people.
For those wa people sacked by these eastern states companies good luck.
