BHP just wants voting power. No take-over coming. They are busy with WMR
----------------------------------------
1036 [Dow Jones] Heron Resources (HRR.AU) soars to record 50 cents, then eases
to 49 cents, still up 18% on healthy trading interest of 2.3 million shares. HRR
jump comes after global mining giant BHP (BHP.AU) emerges with 11.19% stake.
Interest high in HRR after news late March of JV with Canada's Inco to develop
potentially world-scale Kalgoorlie nickel project. BHP's interest in Western
Australian nickel industry broadening, deepening as it develops Ravensthorpe
project, plus bid for WMC (WMR.AU). BHP's spoiling buy of HRR stake suggests it
doesn't fully appreciate Inco's incursion onto its patch - one of world's
premier nickel provinces. (RCB)
