I calculate the US close at 45.26 AUD... lower aud/usd boosts the open here but when you compare the aud/usd chart with an xao chart the peaks and trends correlate fairly well... if the usd continues to rally the xao could well be pushed down. It doesn't quite work in a logical sense so I figure there's a carry trade going on with the same bubble effect that the yen carry trade had.
