management are employed to run a business of increasing the value to all owners (stakeholders) ... a buyback is capital management ... it DOES NOT mean that it is cheap ...
they are not share speculators ...
they are not share traders
they are amatuer punters who are thinking the price is cheaper than 4 months ago ... lets buy it back ... with the current deluge of cash hitting the bank account
I would like them to say ... "we will be buying back a minimum of xxx shares per day for the next 2 years" .. ie. get rid of UK shares ...
i would like to know how many shares are issued every year as part of div reinvestments and management / employee share schemes
