Personally I think corporate interest in MPO is likely to come from a sector specific operator .
The east coast reserves and prospects are an excellent add on for AOE or STO, but quite possibly for another smaller player like ESG or MEL . Australian energy supplies down the main population strip of the East Coast will rely on Coal Seam gas into the future .
MPO's stake of this gas is the cheapest by market capital and spread across a diverse prospect base .
The International reserves are exciting and what will grab attention from speculators and possibly players like Fortune .
The ex BHP managers will hopefully have plenty of time to add value to the MPO shareprice before any corporate activity takes place, and I personally do believe there will be corporate activity .
