Actually, in TA, I too have little to no use for Logarithmic Charts and only slightly more for Moving Averages., although I would have thought that anyone claiming to be a Trader would have at least an understanding of both.
As for BHP, no need for a Log Chart or MA to see the severity of the down move.
As for picking floors, to paraphrase Warren Buffett, "Bottoms are for Looking, not for Picking"
