DRPs are best for index funds. You run significant single stock risk with DRP picking the wrong stock and pricing. Dividends tend to be high when stock price is high. Vice versa. Albeit I used all my BHP and RIO dividends in September which were absolutely enormous to buy BHP and RIO. Plus all the other dividends I got from other stocks.
