Thanks for that MX But what I think is, that to stop the t plus 3 traders from buying in the day before ex div and selling a day or two later and still getting the div, the record date is always at least 4 days after ex div therefore if a t plus 3 trader sells before record he looses the div in the sale sp he gets. Correct me if I am wrong please.
