Woodside shares are around 29 bucks so each bhp holder gets 29/5.5 in woodside shares for each bhp share they own which is 5.27. Multiply this by 1.43 for the franking credit value added in. So around 7.50 of value has been passed to bhp holders and our share price is currently down 4.24.
So we are in effect up $3 per share today.....
assuming you can use the franking credit (45 day rule and aus resident)
