BHP will not cut their dividend. There is no real need to at this stage, and they have made a bid deal about their "progressive" dividend in the past. They'll do whatever they can to maintain the 2015 payout the same as 2014.
They have nothing to gain by cutting the dividend - the difference to the bottom line will be minor for a small cut, and a large dividend cut will create other problems with perceptions about how the company is going.
Nothing to gain and everything to lose by cutting the dividend - that is why it will stay the same.
