And another less serious way of looking at it:
If you were to advance me $32B (on terms per what BHP averages, i.e. say fixed at 4% for 10 years), then I would satisfy my interest obligation to you ($1.28B pa) by purchasing 948M BHP shares (at last close of $33.74) and collecting annual dividends of $1.22B plus franking credits of $0.52B i.e. Gross $1.74B (129cps ff), remitting you $1.29B pa and keeping $450M pa myself.
And I would send you a truckload of champagne at Christmas and on your birthday - when may I have the loan please??
And I will repay loan in full at end of year 10 - no questions asked.
