For Gas it goes to James Price Point.
For crude you have other options
My view is no as the tidal range is too high and up a look mud creek in Derby.
Same problem plus more at Broome as it full of eco-terrorist so no gas or oil from there.
So the obvious choice is Port Hedland which is already a major port and has a 40km channel out to deep water.
Finally one other idea for crude oil is to have a submarine pipe line leaving the coast some where along Eighty Mile Beach which terminates at a crude oil loading buoy and FSO vessel attached which then offloads the oil onto shuttle tankers.
You would need at least 20,000 BBL per day to do this option.
