TDS full swing here. Trump is not illiterate nor a redneck. He went to Wharton University, where were you educated? Runs a multi billion dollar global development, hotels and gaming business. Most people could not do as such, just saying.

So you don’t like China and mad that he’s trying to address them? No one else had the guts to do anything. Stolen IP, trade manipulation, subsiding particular industries and purposely flooding export markets to destroy any competition. Horrid stuff. Go trump, just saying.

But again I concede the tariffs are not justified on all trading partners. I suggest actually looking at what each country imposed on the USA vs what the USA imposed on them plus cost base structures (ie gov subsidies) before just joining alarming media headlines. Outside tariffs trumps policies are extremely pro business. I bet you’ll find the markets end up higher at the end of his term.

Back to BHP: watch resolution consume a lot of BHPs capex budget at the expense of Australian projects shortly. Albo and his merry union friends are destroying our cost base. Think energy, IR laws, high global tax rates, hostile environmental and approval processes… the list goes on. Whereas the trump administration is already reaching out to BHP and likely RIO as operator asking them how can we attract your capital in the USA and get projects moving…. Add in a corporate tax rate that’s going to be half Australias, with lower energy costs, low red tape, upfront major capital deductions and pro business administration. USA is the place to be. Was an article in the AFR talking about this the other day. But if you read BHPs presentations they’ve been scathing of federal labor and saying they will go offshore for a couple years now. But I digress… you think these sort of sensible pro business and growth policies make Donald illiterate… I rest my case.
