The biosecurity issue hasn’t existed for near 20 years from the USA. It’s used as an excuse. Not that I actually disagree with it, I actually think it makes sense. But from the USAs perspective it is a tariff, a horrid tariff, given we export $3billion of beef to them and don’t allow anything back. You’ve got to put it through their lense.
Russia. Trade is non existent. That is why. Stop reading alarming CNN headlines. Trump could cure cancer and they’ll call it racist or something else stupid.
The tariffs are now back to 10% for a 90 day period. That is no real different to our 10% GST. Noting that the USA has no GST or VAT. Yet again, media alarming headlines.
It’s obvious the goal is really China here. And I agree with it, albeit it hurts Australia through our China trade and global economy. But do we just keep letting China have a free pass? We shouldn’t. They are a hostile nation to Australia and USA.
