RIO Simandou project in Guinea will start their first shipment in November this year. Partly owned by Rio (but mostly China). Will be watching the I/O price as this RIO/CHINA project adds new supply to the market.
I'm more tempted by RIO because of this joint venture too. I will start watching that from now on. Not sure if it's good for RIO either as much more supply is coming on, even though they are part owners. It could put a lot of pressure onto the I/O price. I'm guessing this is why the I/O miners are starting to be so unloved.
