I am assuming that BHP simply continues to buy ore from IGO,MCR etc, probably concentrates it, and stockpiles the ore/concentrate until the smelter is reopened.
I guess alternatively they could sell concentrate to someone else (a competitor) on a short term basis, but then why would they do that?
Any better informed views appreciated.
